Drop-in: Paper Party Hats

Party hat sculptures made from tissue paper, pipe cleaners and recycled materials

Make your own paper party hat! Wear it while you complete the Kids Art Trail and then take it home. Can you find a photo of a girl wearing a paper hat in the gallery space?

Participants will use paper and mixed media to construct and decorate a celebratory hat sculpture. Will your hat be tall? Will it be floppy or spikey?

This activity will flow into a guided Kids Art Trail session exploring the exhibitions. Complete the Trail in your party hat to win a prize!

Over three days, children and their grown-ups are invited to imagine, construct and decorate a unique artwork to take home. Inspired by our current Collection works on display, we’re celebrating our birthday through free hands-on activities that change each day.
